And the winner of the Red Rooster coffee grinder is…

It’s giveaway time.  We launched the 417Coffee Disloyalty Card back in June, and a couple weeks ago, we announced that the generous people at Red Rooster Trading Company had offered up a Camano Coffee Mill bundle to be given away to one of the first 10 people to complete the Disloyalty Card and turn it in for their free drink.

Last Friday, the 10th card was turned in, so we have our group of 10 entries for this contest.  These coffee drinkers deserve high praise. They were the first 10 to run through all 8 coffee shops involved, buy a traditional drink to get their card punched, and now have turned in their cards at one of the shops to get a free coffee drink.  Great job!

We have put all 10 names in a pot and through a thoroughly random process, we have picked out one name.  And the winner of this Red Rooster Trading Company Camano grinder bundle is ….. Sara Kellner!

Sara turned in her Disloyalty Card at Heroes Coffee Cafe in Springfield, Missouri, and she was actually the 2nd card to be turned in overall so far.  I’ve been asked which shops have received cards so far.  I don’t consider this a competition between shops because people turn in their cards for free drinks to a specific shop for different reasons — some want to go back to their favorite shop while some want to try a shop again but for free the second time around.  But, for your information, so far, Heroes Coffee Cafe has receive 3 cards, The Coffee Ethic in downtown Springfield has received 2 cards, Big Momma’s Coffee on Commercial Street in Springfield has received 2 cards, The Hub Bikes and Beans in downtown Springfield has received 2 cards, and Dancing Mule Coffee on South Glenstone in Springfield has received 1 card.

Didn’t win?  Or didn’t make the first 10 cut?  Don’t fret.  I’m going to be rolling out our second giveaway here very quickly, and it will include all of the first 25 to turn in their cards.  Hold onto your hats because there’s more to come.

And if you didn’t win and want to buy one of these beautiful hand grinders from Red Rooster Trading Company, you can buy one locally at The Coffee Ethic on Park Central Square in Springfield or you can buy directly from Red Rooster via their website.  Go out and buy some to say “Thanks” to this great sponsor who provided this prize package worth $65.  We appreciate their helping out!
