Heat Wave!
It’s 49 degrees outside—perfect weather for an iced drink! Okay, maybe that’s jumping the gun a bit, but seriously, wouldn’t an iced coffee hit the spot? I’m drinking one at The Coffee Ethic right now, looking out on the square, and watching episodes of The Real World for a research project. Ahhhh, the academic life.
People often look down on iced coffee drinks, but here’s my challenge for the day: try one! And no, not a double iced nonfat sugar-free vanilla concoction. Get a plain, jane iced coffee from one of our great local shops (personally, I love The Coffee Ethic’s iced coffee—they use a single origin Brazilian medium roast from Topeka roaster PT’s Coffee). As you drink, consider the deepness a plain iced coffee provides, followed by a bold, sweet aftertaste.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. As you can see, I wasn’t.
