Vintage Paris in Hollister, Missouri
I spent most of my Saturday today in Branson. In wrapping up some time walking on Branson Landing, my wife was craving a Sonic drink. I did a quick Google Maps check on my Blackberry and decided the closest Sonic was in Hollister. I haven’t driven through downtown Hollister in a long while, although we saw it recently when we took our kids on the Branson Scenic Railway.
As we wound our way through downtown Hollister, we passed Downing Street Furniture, and as we drove around the furniture building, I realized that there was another building there and I caught a glimpse of the words “Loose Leaf Teas” on the sign. My wife caught the name “Vintage Paris” and I ventured that they most likely didn’t have any coffee because I’ve heard it’s hard to find a good coffee cafe in Paris.
On the way out of Hollister after getting our Sonic drinks, I chose to go back through the downtown area to get one more look at this “Vintage Paris” spot. On the way back through, I realized that their sign clearly says that they offer “Organic Espresso”. Honestly, I should have stopped and tried it right then, but I didn’t. I told my wife we’d stop by on another trip when we were sans kids.
Tonight, I’ve Googled “Vintage Paris” and found that it appears much more chic and exquisite on the inside. From the outside, it seemed to be a quaint locale, but the inside photos on their Facebook fan page demand a personal visit.
According to the Facebook fan page, their hours are 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and they serve espresso drinks, fresh brewed coffee, loose-leaf teas, wines by the bottle or glass, and they also have a selection of unique edibles and spices.
Next time I’m anywhere near Hollister, I’ll give Vintage Paris a try. Does anyone else have any experience with Vintage Paris in Hollister?
